The Serpent Viper 990 EVO is the successor of the successful 990. It features new “flex shock mounts”, offering extra flex adjustment as well as having the possibility to fine-tune the shock positions. The EVO also features a new bumper which is lighter, offers more body support and is stiffer as well! It also improves aero due to a better fit to the bodyshell. Also part of the upgrade is a new tank as well as a new topdeck. On top of that we improved reliability.
The Serpent Viper 990th is the successor of the successful 989. We have spent a lot of testing and research to improve the 989 platform. We put a lot of emphasis on the flex characteristic since that showed very promising results. On top of that we improved weight, weight distribution and ease of maintenance. Beside all these b=new features we kept 90% of our proven transmission and our excellent shock absorbers.
The SRX8GT ‘23 has been re-worked from the ground up. Customer and racers alike wanted a faster, lighter, more nibble and reliable race car heading into the new racing season. Although we have enjoyed many great race wins and successes in the world of GT racing, it was time for us to push the evolution of the class yet again. The engineering group went to work, discussing all aspects and weak points of our previous model. After countless concepts and discussions, we had formulated the best possible plan to create the greatest successor we could. With nothing short of maximum performance on the track and devilish good looks on the pit table, the new SRX8GT ‘22 was born; we don’t think you will be disappointed.
Serpent now offers the SRX8 GT also in a Ready To Race, to make this superb car even more attractive to a broader customer base, so also Hobby racers can now join in for the action. The SRX8GT TQ is based on the SRX8GT that has proven his great potential on the World championships in Miami this Jan 2020. The SRX8GT TQ shares many high performance parts from the successful SRX8 platform. In addition to the details carried over from the SRX8 platform, we have introduced many new, design concepts to push the SRX8GT TQ well into the future as well as set its self apart from all competition.

The Viper 989 has shown it’s potential at the first appearance at the world championship in steel city. With 2 cars in the main final and leading until 3 minutes from the end has shown that the work on it’s main features like weight, weight distribution, flex, transmission has been successful. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Serpent, we will come out with this edition of the 989, which is the exact replica of what the team used at the Worlds, including the parts necessary to also copy that exact set-up.
